This practice specializes in serving women of color and the BIPOC community. Black Butterfly Therapy & Counseling takes a strengths-based perspective to trauma, pain, lost, and healing by fostering the skills for post traumatic growth, resilience, self-compassion and radical acceptance. This practice takes an ecological approach to addressing mental health issues by targeting additional areas of well-being such as: spirituality, generational trauma, social justice issues, family/social support systems, and intersectionality.

Group Counseling
This is a specialized group facilitated and created by the clinician to address larger mental health issues as a collective by drawing on the strengths and experiences of the group members
Social Skills Building Group
A curated group developed by the therapist to address a significant deficit in crucial life skills that impact multiple clients’ ability to thrive in their everyday lives.

Clinical Hours for MSW
This service is one on one consultation for MSW or MFT graduate students seeking individual field instruction hours towards licensure.
Consultation
This service is for practicing clinicians, who need support or feedback on complex cases or culturally appropriate treatment recommendations for clients within marginalized populations.

Individual: $175 per 50 min
Couples: $200 per 50 mins
Family: $250 Family
Sliding Scale: May be considered on a an as-needed basis and based on therapists’ availability.
Expanded Sliding Scale for students, mental health providers, and for those who had their hours reduced or lost their jobs due to the recession
Insurance: I am an out of network provider and do not bill insurance companies directly. I can provide a weekly or monthly statement which you may submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Your counseling services may also be eligible for reimbursement through medical spending or a health care savings account.
